Connor Dixon, a ninth-grader at Ocean View High in California, won the Division 3 boys freshman 3-mile race in 17:36.8 at the 48th Dana Hills Nike Invitational at Dana Hills High in Dana Point. Dixon prevailed by a 16-second margin, but Ocean View did not field enough athletes in the race to score as a team.
